Shalom Residentila Public School, Palakkad, is a day cum residential school that has a state-of art residential facility for both boys and girls. At present there are 120 students, majority being NRIs, staying at the campus under the parental care of Mr. Manuel Singh (Warden) and Mrs. Padmavatty (Matron) along with other support staff. The children at the hostel get hot water for bathing, RO treated water for drinking, air-conditioned rooms, full time security, telephone facility, food canteen and movie shows every Saturday, and one outing once a month.

The hostel children enjoy a homely atmosphere and learn life skills and values through activities like Boarders Talent show, Best out of Waste, Health and hygiene education, cultural nights and many more. They also learn to spin various recopies without cooking through programs like salad decorations to name a few.
